Heritage Hotel Hanoi is an idea for those traveling on a budget. Located along Lathanh Road within walking distance to exhibition, government office, major historical sites, shopping areas.This hotel is located in an industrial street, narrow with furniture making/selling shops lining the street. The hotel was old, however it had recently refurbished many rooms. Ours had been refurbished recently, painted, new carpet and furniture. Too new in fact as the paint and varnish smell was too strong. Nice marble bathroom but no bath and a shower room which had its own door and was difficult to open and shut when showering. Restaurant did not have its own kitchen but sent your order to a nearby restaurant. At 9pm no more orders were accepted in the restaurant, room service was required. Cable TV reception good and tour service attached to hotel helpful. If returning to Hanoi we would choose a hotel in a different area.
